NMU Football adds 26 Players on Signing Day
MARQUETTE, Mich. – Bernie Anderson, the head football coach at Northern Michigan University, announces the following have signed a National Letter of Intent to attend NMU and play football for the Wildcats beginning in the fall of 2010. In the group, 19 are high school seniors while seven are transfers. The signees break down to 17 on offense, eight on defense and one specialty.
“We addressed our number one need and that was linemen. Primarily along the offensive line as we definitely filled that role,” said Anderson. “We got a higher grade point average and test scores coming out of this class. This is a reflection of the character and caliber of the people you are recruiting. The seven transfers are people we expect to come in and make a contribution and be on the bus next year. There are a couple of key people in there who could be all-conference type players and add depth to the team.”
