Woman Accused of Stealing Charity Money

A Gladstone woman is accused of stealing donation money that was supposed to go to a local girl fighting cancer.

34-year-old Debra Golzynski is charged with larceny by conversion.

She turned herself in to Public Safety officers last month.

Golzynski has already been arraigned, and she’s free on $500 bond.

She waived her right to have a preliminary exam.

The next court date hasn’t been set yet.

Golzynski is accused of stealing money that she’d raised for the family of Taytem Drossard, an 11-year-old girl from Gladstone.

Taytem is suffering from brain cancer.

There was a fundraiser in Gladstone last fall to help offset medical and travel costs for the girl’s family.

Golzynski was collecting the money for that.
