Marinette Murderer Receives Life Sentence

A Marinette, Wisconsin man who killed his estranged wife last year will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

44-year-old Joseph Evans, Jr. got his sentence yesterday for his 1st-degree intentional homicide conviction.

Back in September, a jury found him guilty of shooting his estranged wife, 40-year-old Dina Evans, to death.

That happened in July 2008.

Joseph Evans originally told police he shot her accidentally.

But he has a history of domestic violence, and he shot her the same day that she served him with a temporary restraining order.
