What was once a flood of flu closures has slowed to a crawl.

But it seems just when the region is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, there’s always been one more school district shutting down.

The Wakefield-Marenisco schools opened for a normal day this morning.

But before noon, they decided they had too many kids out sick.

So they dismissed everyone, and the schools will remain closed for the entire week.

The Ironwood schools and All Saints Christian Academy have been closed since the middle of last week.

They’ll try resuming classes tomorrow.

All the other districts that the flu shut down last week, like L’Anse, Baraga and West Iron County, have now re-opened.
