Official Michigan Christmas Tree in Bergland

The official Michigan Christmas tree is once again coming from the U.P.

This year’s tree is a 65-foot spruce from Bergland, in Ontonagon County.

But that ends Wednesday, when loggers will take down the 63-foot tree.

It’s sent on a truck down to Lansing and should get there Saturday morning.

Then it gets decorated in time for the official tree-lighting ceremony, which is November 20th this year.
