Dickinson Co. Memorial Restricts Visitors

Last week, several U.P. hospitals put visitor restrictions in place to help them battle the spread of the flu.

Now, another one is joining them.

Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain has specific measures in place for each patient care area.

Hospital staff say to be considered for a visit, you have to be over the age of 18, essential to a patient’s well-being — which they typically consider to be a spouse or caregiver — and free from any type of illness.

If you meet those conditions, they’re asking you to check in at the front information desk and tell them which patient you’re there to visit.

If you’re allowed in, the desk will give you a badge with information on it on how long you can stay.
