Widespread illness closes a Menominee County school for a little bit longer.
The Nah Tah Wahsh Public School Academy in Wilson has been closed since mid-day Monday.
Now it’ll be empty for the rest of the week.
A doctor recommended it to the middle and high school principal.
On Monday, a large percentage of students and staff called in sick.
The principal says nearly half the 173 students and a third of the staff are still sick today.
No word yet on whether or not flu is involved.
School officials are asking that no one who’s sick return to the school until their fever and other symptoms have been gone for at least 24 hours.
