Missing Marquette Man Found in Woods

The Marquette man who’d been missing since the weekend is found this afternoon.

City police say a State Police helicopter found 30-year-old Chaplin Cinelli shortly after 12 noon today.

He was in a wooded area about 150 yards away from County Road 553, near the railroad bridge overpass.

Cinelli had last been reported seen walking south on the road at that same place.

He was conscious and semi-alert.

But police say he was dehydrated and had hypothermia from the drop in temperatures since the weekend.

He was taken to Marquette General for treatment.

The county Sheriff’s Department search and rescue unit, State Police from the Negaunee Post and the Salvation Army all helped out in the search.

Cinelli’s parents in Marquette’s Shiras Hills neighborhood reported him missing Sunday night.
