Arrests in Newberry Break-Ins
2 young men from Newberry are in custody after a long string of break-ins this summer.
One’s a 19-year-old and the other is 18.
State police from the Newberry Post and the Luce County Sheriff’s Department are working together.
They arrested the 2 last night and charged them with 1 count each of breaking and entering.
State police say they think the pair can be linked to as many as 16 different incidents.
Those break-ins took place at businesses in and around Newberry in July and August.
The investigation is ongoing, and police say they anticipate making more arrests in the case.
