Fire Training

The Marquette City Fire Department is asking drivers to keep an eye out during this week’s training.

Firefighters are going through suppression, ventilation, and search and rescue exercises at a soon–to–be–demolished building on Lincoln St., just south of the NMU campus. The department is asking for passers–bys to stay clear of the action.

The Fire Department only gets to run training sessions like this a couple of times a year, as they can only utilize buildings that are on the verge of demolition.

Training finishes up tomorrow with a pair of sessions from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning, and from 1:00 to 3:30 in the afternoon.
