History Museum Gets Huge Grant
The Marquette County History Museum is getting a big lift toward it sgoal of building a new home.
It’s a $600,000 challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The museum is trying to renovate the old Marq-Tran bus terminal on Spring Street in Marquette into a state-of-the art museum.
The grant has to have a local match.
NEH challenge grants can be used for long-term capital spending like construction or renovation projects.
They can also be used for acquisition of new items.
