Swimmer Shooting Suspect Returning to Court

The man accused of the Menominee River swimmer shootings from last summer is back in court tomorrow.

38-year-old Scott Johnson has a motions hearing.

He and his lawyer are asking for 2 things.

Their first motion asks for 2 separate statements he made to police to be suppressed.

The other is a change-of-venue motion, asking for jurors from a different area of Wisconsin to be brought to Marinette in md-March for the trial.

He’s charged with killing 3 teenagers in the shooting rampage at the East Kingsford train bridge on July 31st.

17-year-old Tiffany Pohlson of Norway died in the attack, along with 19-year-old Bryan Mort and 18-year-old Anthony Spigarelli of Iron Mountain.

Johnson also faces 6 counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon and 1 count of 2nd-degree sexual assault.
