High-Speed Chase Leads to Marquette Accidents

A driver takes off, leading police on a car chase resulting in multiple accidents.

At about 3 this morning, Marquette police responded to a complaint of a man pounding on the door of a home on Lynn Street.

When police arrived, the man took off in his car.

Police chased the man on that street, Summit Street and Presque Isle Avenue.

The man ran into 2 different patrol cars during that chase.

Police finally arrested the man after a struggle, during which one officer suffered some minor back and neck pain.

The man wasn’t hurt in the car crash, but as a precaution, he was taken to Marquette General for evaluation.

He’s being charged with fleeing and eluding police, felonious assault and operating while impaired.
