Passport Day Makes Foreign Travel Easier

Getting a passport is a little bit easier today for anyone wanting to travel outside the country.

Throughout the day, staff from the Peter White Library, Marquette Paper & Paint and NMU’s Office of International Affairs were helping out people from around the area.

The International Affairs hosted the event in the Learning Resources Center, encouraging everyone there to look into foreign travel.

Making sure you have a current passport is even more important now that a new law requires anyone trying to get into Canada to have one.

In Marquette County, you can also get a passport at the Peter White Library or the county clerk’s office.

Wherever you go to get one, you’ll need a certified copy of your birth certificate or some other proof of citizenship.
