Ishpeming Township Car Dealer Closes

The slow economy is preventing many of us who might be looking for a new car from actually buying one.

Another Ishpeming-area car dealership has just bit the dust because of that.

It’s Twin City Motors on US-41 in Ishpeming Township.

At one point, Twin City Motors actually used to sponsor our Friday Night Frenzy sportscasts here on UGN News.

The business closed permanently last night.

They’d sold Dodges, Chryslers and Fords.

Ford Motor Company is sending people to pick up the remaining inventory.

Twin City Motors had been around since the early 1980s.

This follows the closing of Central Pontiac in downtown Ishpeming 6 weeks ago.

That dealership had been in business for 97 years.
