Salvation Army Bells Ringing Early
The holiday season is the season to give, and to hear the chiming of bells.
Tomorrow marks Ishpeming’s Salvation Army bell ringers starting to ring for those in need.
The bell ringers will be located at different supermarkets such as Jubilee Foods on US-41.
The Salvation Army is starting the ringing season a little earlier than usual in hopes of targeting deer hunters.
By getting people preparing for the hunting season, the Ishpeming Salvation Army hopes their efforts will help reach this year’s goal.
Last year, they raised over $22,000, and they hope to increase that this year.
The official kick-off for the bell ringers starts next Monday.
The bell ringers will also be out and about this Friday at Jubilee.
