Teacher Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Abuse
The Marquette teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with one of his students pleads not guilty.
49-year-old Kevin Wilson had his arraignment set for today, but he mailed in his plea ahead of time.
Wilson is facing 2 counts of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Both charges date from 1996.
Police believe they relate to the same alleged victim, a 13-to-16-year-old girl.
Wilson was teaching at Bothwell Middle School until being placed on leave from the classroom in late September.
He’s still in the Marquette County Jail.
The Marquette schools are having forums at MARESA tonight at 7, and at the high school tomorrow at 1:30, to help address questions about the case that anyone from the community might have.
