Too Many Alcoholic Treats Lead to Crash
The trip home from a Halloween party ends badly for a Cornell man, as a few too many treats may have led to a trick.
State police from the Gladstone post say they arrested a 34-year-old Cornell man early Saturday who was dressed as a pirate.
He was on his way home from Escanaba, where he’d been to a Halloween party that night.
The man rolled his vehicle over on County Road 416 in Flat Rock.
Troopers found him a little before 2am Saturday heavily intoxicated but unhurt.
He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Delta County Jail.
Police say the man even had a live parrot in the vehicle with him as part of his costume.
The parrot died in the crash.
