Fatal Moran Township Shooting
A Mackinac County man is dead in an overnight shooting.
State police from the St. Ignace post say it happened on US-2 in Moran Township shortly before midnight.
The victim is a 19-year-old man from St. Ignace.
He was already dead by the time crews could get there.
A 20-year-old from St. Ignace who knew the victim is in custody tonight.
Police have turned their preliminary information over to the county prosecutor.
The victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.
The suspect’s name won’t be available until after he’s charged.
