Billion-Dollar Investment Bash

WHILE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY IS STUGGLING ECONOMICALLY, THE U–P IS THRIVING THROUGH COMMUNITY SUPPORT.

With much of the country struggling economically, there are signs the U.P. is thriving through community support.

The Lake Superior Community Partnership is putting on what it calls the Billion-Dollar Bash.

It celebrates and showcases economic development in the face of a nationally shaky economy.

Businesses throughout the county are committing to investing more than a billion dollars into the area, a huge feat for a community of any size.

About a dozen companies have pledged money to support growth through the community, totaling about $1.2 billion in all.

These investments in the area also ensure that Marquette County can continue to thrive into the future.
