Gladstone Doctor May Have License Suspended
A doctor from Gladstone is at risk of losing his license for a while.
Erik Rubright was sentenced in court last week for attempting to maintain a drug house.
The Michigan Department of Community Health is going to review his case and decide if his license should be suspended.
That decision should take the MCDH about a month.
Rubright is a family doctor with OSF Medical Group.
He pleaded no contest last month to attempting to maintain a drug house, a misdemeanor.
If it were a felony, his license would automatically be suspended.
He’ll spend the next year on probation and work 250 hours of community service.
Police say Rubright knew for years that his wife was using and selling drugs in their home but did nothing to stop her.
