NMU Students Making A Difference Saturday

This Saturday is the national celebration of Make A Difference Day, and local college students are pitching in their time to help.

Northern Michigan University’s Volunteer Center has around 900 students signed up to help make a difference.

The students will be raking leaves for elderly residents who’ve signed up for help.

Volunteers are given an early breakfast before being sent off in groups to more than 140 spots across Marquette County.

Community service like this is taking place across the country this Saturday.
