Fatal Wreck Was Driver’s 3rd Accident of Night
The Hubbell man who died in a weekend accident got into 2 other wrecks shortly before the one that killed him.
That’s what Houghton police believe.
They’re not releasing the name of the 29-year-old.
A little after 10:30 Saturday night, he was heading east on Sharon Avenue near Michigan Tech’s tennis center.
He lost control of his vehicle and was thrown from it, dying at the scene.
Police believe alcohol use and high speed may have been contributing factors.
Before he had that accident, he’s believed to have hit 2 other cars on Sharon Avenue.
One of the wrecks happened near the m-26 intersection, and the other was near Military Road.
Police weren’t pursuing him when he had the fatal accident, and no one was hurt in the 2 earlier crashes.
