If you’ve driven on Fair Avenue or Wright Street in Marquette in the last day or so, you’ve seen a lot of signs for yard sales.
That’s not so unusual — this is the time of year when many of us start to have them.
But one sale on Woodridge Avenue has bargains for a cause.
Lisa LaFave Nichols is a Marquette native who now lives in Wisconsin.
She was diagnosed with stage 3 Hogdkin’s lymphoma last month.
Her family is hosting a huge yard sale to raise money, since the chemotherapy treatments have caused her to quit her job.
Other families have donated thousands of items for the sale.
Lisa’s stepfather, Lou Carr, says the support is one of the most amazing things he’s ever seen.
The sale runs until 8 tonight and then all day both tomorrow and Sunday, starting at 9am.
