Woman sentenced to jail on meth charge

ESCANABA — An Escanaba woman arrested for operating and maintaining a meth lab is now off to jail.

Destiny Aker, 22, will serve eleven months in jail, with credit for 94 days served.

In July, Aker pleaded guilty to one count of purchasing pseudophedrine to make meth. Another charge of operating and maintaining a meth lab was dropped as part of a plea agreement.
