Woman injured in Iron Mtn. accident
One person was transported to the hospital following a two car accident in Iron Mountain Tuesday afternoon.
The Iron Mountain Police Department says the accident happened on U.S. 2 at the entrance of the Dollar Tree Store at around 3 p.m.
A vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Kingsford woman tried to pull out onto U.S. 2 and struck a vehicle driving eastbound on U.S. 2 driven by a 47-year-old Norway man.
The woman was taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries and was cited for Failing to Yield the Right of Way.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Beacon Ambulance, and the Iron Mountain Fire Department assisted at the scene.
