Wisconsin man arrested for attempted murder

A Wisconsin resident was arrested in Menominee County in connection with an attempted murder investigation.

The suspect is a 37-year-old man from Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

Troopers from the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police say the incident happened in Kaukauna on Sunday.  The suspect has been on the run since fleeing the scene.

Police found the man in a campground near the Michigan/Wisconsin state line in Holmes Township.

The suspect surrendered without incident and is lodged in the Menominee County Jail awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin.  His name is not being released at this time.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team, and Wisconsin authorities assisted in locating and arresting the suspect.
