ISHPEMING — The springlike weather is bringing changes to city services in some areas of the U.P., but other locations are still in winter mode.

The K.I. Sawyer Water Department is asking residents that have been under let-run orders to keep their water running until further notice. Department officials say temperatures have not yet been above freezing for long enough to remove the risk to pipes.

However, Iron Mountain is suspending its winter parking ban because of the warmer air. The Iron Mountain Police say the parking ban will return if plows have to be called out to clear fresh snow.
