WI Residents Face Southern U.P. Drug Charges

Three Wisconsin residents are facing drug-related charges in the southern U.P.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Department says they are 22-year-old Stacey Berry of West Allis, Wisconsin; as well as 34-year-old Robert Larson and 25-year-old Melissa Konkel, who are both from Milwaukee.

Berry is charged with marijuana possession.

Larson is charged with use of marijuana.

Konkel is accused of possessing a controlled substance not inside a prescription container.

Those offenses are all misdemeanors.

The investigation is ongoing, and it could eventually result in felonies.

On June 22nd, Hannahville Police, sheriff’s deputies and members of the Menominee City-County Drug Enforcement unit carried out a search warrant on Hannahville Indian Community land.

Police say they seized prescription medications, cash and a vehicle.

Berry, Larson and Konkel all face a pretrial conference in District Court in the upcoming weeks.
