What Does Slow Economy Mean for Latin America?

While the rough economy continues to affect many of us in America, NMU hopes a speaker might bring the community together by showing what it means for other parts of the world.

NMU is hosting a visit from Dr. Ines Bustillo.

She leads the Washington office of the U.N. Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

She’s visiting to show people what the U.S.’ economic cold spell means for Latin America.

By demonstrating how that region is coping, the U.S. may see this as a chance to improve relations with Latin American countries.

She’s talking tomorrow about the possible business opportunities that may be out there in the U.P. involving Latin America.

That’ll be at noon in the University Center.
