Welcome Reception held for ski tournament
There are hours left before the annual Ski Jumping Tournament in Ishpeming on Wednesdsay night, and on Tuesday the athletes were able to relax.
A Welcome Reception for the 126th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament was held at the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame Tuesday night.
Several teams came to meet and mingle with other jumpers from across the globe who came in town for the tournament. They also celebrated the history of ski jumping.
The ski jumping tournament gets underway at Suicide Hill Ski Bowl Wednesday evening. The tournament is hosted by the Ishpeming Ski Club.
Trial rounds start around 6 p.m. with competition jumping to follow. There will also be a fireworks show at the end of the evening.
