Waterspout forms over Lake Superior

HARVEY — A potential scary situation took place in Marquette County just before 3:00 p.m., when the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning.

A waterspout appeared over Lake Superior and reports said it had the possibility of moving onshore. Eyewitness reports said the waterspout dissipated before it reached the shore.

We were able to catch the tail end of the waterspout at the rest stop in Harvey. The tornado warning was cancelled at 2:56 p.m.
