MARQUETTE — In honor of the Holiday weekend, one local auto shop collaborated with people in the community to thank our troops.

For the fourth year in a row now, Superior Express Care in Marquette teamed up with organizers from the area to put on their military appreciation car wash. Anyone in the area could stop by and for only ten dollars, each person received a car wash along with a delicious hotdog meal. All proceeds from today’s wash will be donated to the families of military personnel.

“Every year these local businesses donate the use of their facilities and their items to me.” Said by Volunteer/Organizer Anna Dravland, “Border Grill donates a grill, Larry’s Family Foods donates hotdogs, Superior Express Care also donates $10 of every oil change that’s performed today, so we got a really amazing group of local businesses.”

Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will be donated to the family of Brandon LaFarve, an army member who recently passed away. The volunteers were happy to be a part of such a good cause and help the LaFarve family.
