After 15 days on the run, a Houghton County fugitive is back in police custody.

27–year–old Jeremy Nordstrom of Calumet was taken into police custody shortly after 7 PM Wednesday. Nordstrom was arrested without incident at a camp between the cities of Lac La Belle and Gay.

Nordstrom had walked away from a work crew at the Houghton County Arena in Hancock March 20th. He was in jail for violating probation for larceny and allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code.

Officials say he will face additional charges stemming from his escape.

Keweenaw County Deputies were assisted with the arrest by Houghton County Deputies and Troopers from the Michigan State Police Post in Calumet.
