Walk-away inmate declared not competent

HOUGHTON — An inmate who walked away from a jail work crew last fall will not be headed to trial.

Thirty-five-year old Mark Revoir was found not competent to stand trial at a hearing Monday in Houghton County District Court. Court records indicate that he will be sent to the state forensic center for further testing. Revoir allegedly walked away from a minimum security work crew at the Houghton RV Park on October ninth and was taken into custody again later that day. He is charged with escape from a felony jail sentence.

No further court appearances are scheduled at this time.
