‘W’ Rising Through the Ranks in Online Contest
Almost 40 thousand votes have been cast for Marquette County’s ‘W’ in a national online competition for grant funding.
Community Hand-UP has spearheaded the efforts to re–open the former West Branch Fitness and Community Center that closed two years ago.
The group has gone online with the Reader’s Digest “We Hear You America” contest.
The ‘W’ is in 20th place, up from 79th three weeks ago.
“We Hear You America” lets people vote – or cheer – for various organizations here.

Type in ‘Gwinn’ and, after a free registration, you can return to make up to ten free votes a day for the ‘W’.
The effort could be worth as much as $40,000.
