Volunteers needed for CopperDog
Having enough snow is no longer a concern for the organizers of the CopperDog Sled Dog Race…so now the push to sign up volunteers begins.
Race organizers know that it takes hundreds of volunteers to make the race a success. To help meet the need…race officials are hosting a Volunteer Drive at the River Valley Bank in Calumet Saturday.
Local mushers will be on hand to talk with volunteers and guests will be treated to free hot dogs.
There is also a chance to get up close and personal with the real stars of the race…the dogs.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm.
