MARQUETTE — Even though it’s month away, officials form the Marquette Downtown Development Authority say it’s never too early to plan for the Blueberry Festival.
The DDA is now accepting vendor applications for this summer’s Blueberry Festival in downtown Marquette. When it comes to signing up, the earlier the better, to ensure your spot.
Marquette DDA Promotions and Events Coordinator Tara Laase–McKinney says, “We do tend to give more favor to those who sign up early If we have a lot of the same type of vendors coming down, we might limit… Say for example we have 20 different jewelry vendors, we may only take the first few that sign up as opposed to all of them. So just something to keep in mind that signing up earlier is always better.”
Vendors of all kinds are welcome to take part in this Marquette tradition, that thousands of visitors come from all over to enjoy. Vendors have until June 1st to turn in their application. The Blueberry Festival is scheduled for July 29th.
