Vandalism Investigated in Marquette Co.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating several incidents of malicious destruction of property that occurred April 15, between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. in the area of County Road CD and County Road 581 in Ely Township.

At least eleven mailboxes were found to be damaged or destroyed on County Road C.D. and the southern end of County Road 581.

It is believed that the incidents may have taken place between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.  Numerous items of evidence were collected at the scenes.  Please contact the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office at 225-8435 if you have any additional information about the incidents or observed any suspicious behavior in that area.
