USOEC wrestler wins gold
A U.S. Olympic Education Center wrestler is returning from the Pan American Championships with a gold medal.
Greco-Roman wrestler Max Nowry won the title in the 55-kilogram weight class on Friday in Panama City, Panama.
Nowry, the 2012 University World Champion, helped Team USA capture the overall team title.
Two USOEC alumni also won medals.
Robbie Smith took the silver medal at 120 kilos, and Jake Fisher won the bronze medal at 74 kilos.
The Pan American Championship is an annual tournament among the best wrestlers from North, South and Central America.
