USOEC names its All-Academic team

USOEC LogoMarquette, Mich.—United States Olympic Education Center athletes finished the 2013 winter semester by naming 25 student athletes to its All-Academic Team for earning a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Although the semester is over, the athletes remain on-campus for additional training.

The Greco-Roman wrestling team is preparing for the University Championships taking place on May 24 in Akron, Ohio. Following the competition, the wrestlers train to compete in the World Team Trials, which are June 21-22 in Stillwater, Okla. The competition rounds out the 2012-13 season.

Members of the weightlifting team are training in Marquette throughout the summer. They will compete in the Pan American Championships June 22-30 in Caracas, Venezuela; the University Worlds July 6-17 in Kazan, Russia; and the Senior Nationals July 26-28 in West Chester, Ohio.
