US-41 Construction Set to Start
Another sign that spring is here: the beginning of road construction projects across the U.P.
The Michigan Department of Transportation and the Ishpeming Transportation Service Center held a public meeting tonight to discuss the construction project planned for US-41/M-28 between Harvey and Marquette. Specifically, from the Carp River to the Welcome Center.
Motorist should expect small delays while driving this stretch of road.
MDOT says there is no convenient alternate route for motorist to take during this project. This project will fix a few safety concerns along this stretch of road.
The project is expected to start in April and be completed by October.
