UPSET Drug Sweep in Menominee

Another drug bust in the U.P.

This time, five people are arrested in Menominee.

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team made the bust yesterday at a home on the 4200 block of 8th Avenue.

It was part of a three-month investigation.

They seized a large amount of prescription drugs as well as money from the sale of illegal drugs.

Heroin and oxycontin were confiscated in the bust.

The five people arrested have not yet been named.

Their cases are under review by the Menominee County Prosecutor’s Office.

The charges against them range from disorderly conduct– frequenting a drug house to possession with intent to deliver.

This makes the fourth drug bust in Menominee so far this year.

UPSET got help from the Michigan State police, the Menominee City Police and the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department.

Keeping drugs off the street takes help from the public.
