UPSET Detectives conduct two busts on same day

GOULD CITY – Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested six individuals in two separate busts Wednesday.

UPSET Detectives executed a search warrant at Laidlaw’s Country Corner Motel in Gould City. Inside the motel, UPSET Detectives located and seized both narcotics and electronic equipment.

A 55-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant for delivery of marijuana. A 25-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the Chippewa County Jail on an outstanding warrant unrelated to the investigation.

In Menominee, UPSET Detectives arrested four men on multiple felony charges. A 20-year-old male was charged with a felony count of Delivery of an Illegal Imitation Substance, heroin. A 29-year-old male was charged with three felony counts of Delivery of a Prescription Narcotic, Subutex. A 21-year-old male was charged with a felony count of Delivery of a Prescription Narcotic, Suboxone. And a 37-year-old male charged with three felony counts of Delivery of a Prescription Narcotic, Oxycodone and Clonazepam.

All 4 individuals were residents of Menominee and were lodged in the Menominee County Jail.
