High fire danger warning for Upper Peninsula

Shunk-Grey

Quietly, the work week started out with sunny skies and a cool breeze. Tonight, clear skies and weaker winds will set us up for another “near-freezing” evening. Lows will bottom out in the low to mid-30s, while southeast winds blow around 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Tuesday, high pressure will keep the region relatively sunny, as winds pick up again. Highs will top off in the upper-50s and lower-60s, while southeast winds continue at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

Tomorrow night, the cool air hangs around, as skies remain mostly clear. Low temps will drop between the upper-30s and lower-40s, while southeast winds weaken around 5 to 10 miles per hour. Wednesday features partly sunny skies, as slightly warmer air continues to enter.
