Clouds and snow covered the area during a chilly Monday afternoon, but heading into tonight snow showers will increase bringing minor accumulations for all locations east of L’Anse. West and along Superior’s shoreline, amounts could reach near a half-foot.
Lows will drop to the upper single digits and lower teens, while northwest winds blow around 10 to 20 miles per hour. Tuesday, snow keeps falling, adding another 1-3 inches across the region. Highs will top off in the mid and upper teens, while winds shift slightly out of the north at 15 to 25 miles per hour.
Tomorrow night, the scattered snow showers linger, dropping another 1-3 inches. Low temps will plummet between the low to mid single digits, while breezy northwest winds blow at 10 to 20 miles per hour. Much colder air remains in place on Wednesday, holding some areas in the single digits the entire day.
