UPDATE: fatal Chippewa Co. crash victim ID’d
The driver of a pickup truck who died Sunday morning as a result of a one-car accident in Chippewa County has been identified.
Michigan State Police from the Sault Ste. Marie Post identified the driver as 37-year-old Theresa Labranche-Teeple of Brimley.
According to troopers, Labranche-Teeple left the roadway and struck a tree after she had lost control of her truck while driving on a curved section of road.
Authorities have determined that speed was a factor in the crash, however the accident remains under investigation.
