U.P. woman wins $250,000

 

Mega MillionsThe Mega Millions drawing on Friday, May 17,  yielded three $250,000 winning tickets in Michigan, including one in the U.P.

 

Paulette Lightfoot was  surprised about her Mega Millions win. After asking her husband to purchase a Powerball ticket, she was disappointed when he presented her with Mega Millions tickets instead. Lightfoot quickly forgave her husband’s mistake the instant she too realized her ticket matched the first five numbers making her a $250,000 prize winner!

Lightfoot’s winning ticket was purchased at Holiday #174 located at 3287 1-75 Business Spur in Sault Ste. Marie.

Trevis Bluege stopped at the Harbor Springs EZ Mart prior to the drawing that evening to try his luck with Mega Millions. Later that night, after the drawing occurred, he was shocked to notice his ticket matched the first five numbers for a Mega win of $250,000!

Bluege checked his ticket at a Lottery lucky spot machine but didn’t believe his big win at first, thinking the machine was malfunctioning. After confirming Bluege did in fact have a big winner, the store manager happily congratulated him.

Wanda Protyniak was the lucky holder of the third $250,000 Mega Millions prize in last Friday’s drawing. Protyniak’s winning ticket was sold by Unity Service Corp in Westland.

In addition to the three winners from the May 17 drawing, Adel Seman claimed his $250,000 prize last Friday from the May 14 Mega Millions drawing. Seman bought his winning ticket at Grapes and Hops Market Inc. l in Waterford.
