Musical acts will include, six time multi-platinum recording artists Blood, Sweat and Tears featuring American Idol runner-up Bo Bice, along with the Double Platinum band-Firehouse, three-time American Country Award winner-Easton Corbin, Grammy Award winner-Joe Diffie and rock legend, Sebastian Bach.

To keep the entire family entertained there will be epic demo derby and car racing, sand sculptures, circus acrobatic acts, raptor rehab, chalk art.
Not to be missed is the showboat spectacular, zoo, carnival as well as an antique village along with a few other surprises.

“Bringing in headliner entertainment that is a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. Also, once they pay the gate admission there is so much activity and things to do that you could spend the day or better yet, spend the week,” U.P. State Fair Representative Vickie Micheau said.

“This year the state fair is going to be so much fun, there is a reintroduction of the Native American culture day, which is always a big event. Tribal participation will be very high on that day, it will include a POW WOW, music dancing, there will be some fry bread, everybody loves fry bread, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Hannahville Indian Community representative David Anthony said.

The U.P. State Fair is the only official designated Michigan State Fair. The enjoyment runs August 11-17.
