U.P. schools have emergency plans in place

As the country is riveted to a variety of media sources to follow the news of an explosion in Texas that injured hundreds and killed several people just days after the Boston Marathon bombings, many parents in Upper Michigan are asking how their children are being protected during the school day.

From one end of Upper Michigan to the other, schools teach emergency preparations. K through 12 schools, as well as colleges and universities, have plans in place to keep students safe.
